Healthcare IT Services for Practices and Clinics
CasperB2B provides healthcare IT services for medical practices, clinics, dental offices and other care providers: managed IT, security practices built with HIPAA in mind, backup and recovery, staffing for healthcare IT roles, and patient-facing websites.
We are founder-led and work remotely with providers in the U.S., with a local focus in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. You get a personal reply within 1 business day, and work starts from a signed scope.
Who this is for
Independent practices, multi-location clinics, dental groups, behavioral health offices, physical therapy and specialty practices, and med spas. It also fits healthcare software and service companies that need IT or development people. Most have no full-time IT staff, or one person who is stretched too thin.
What healthcare IT is really like
A clinic cannot stop seeing patients because a computer is down. Front desk systems, the EHR, phones, scanners and payment devices all have to work at once. Patient data is sensitive and regulated, staff turn over, and many offices still share passwords or run old machines. Ransomware and phishing target healthcare because downtime is so costly. Good IT here is mostly steady habits: access control, patching, backups that are tested, and clear records of who can see what.
What we provide
Managed IT for the office
Help desk, device setup, patching, and vendor coordination for your EHR, phones and printers. See managed IT services.
Security practices
Multi-factor sign-in, user access reviews, email filtering, device encryption and staff phishing training. See cybersecurity services.
Backup and recovery
Backups of servers, cloud files and key systems, with restore tests on a schedule and a written recovery plan. See backup and recovery.
Healthcare IT staffing
Dedicated IT support, security and development people who work inside your tools. See IT staffing.
Patient-facing websites
Fast, mobile-friendly sites with clear service pages and booking paths, built without putting patient data in web forms that should not hold it. See website development and dental practice marketing.
Incident planning
A simple plan for what staff do if an account is taken over or files are locked. Start with our incident response plan template.
How HIPAA fits in
We set up IT and security practices with HIPAA requirements in mind, and we work with your compliance lead or privacy officer on the technical safeguards. We do not certify practices, and we do not guarantee compliance. Your organization remains responsible for its own compliance program, including risk assessments, policies, training records and business associate agreements. Where our work involves access to patient data, we discuss the right agreement before work begins.
How engagement works
- Fit call. Fifteen minutes on your systems, your biggest risks and who owns compliance.
- Review. We look at accounts, devices, backups and network setup and write down what we find.
- Signed scope. You approve a prioritized list of fixes and ongoing services.
- Fixes first. We close the highest-risk gaps, such as missing sign-in protection or untested backups.
- Ongoing care. Support, monitoring and regular reviews with your compliance lead.
When we are the wrong fit
We are not a compliance auditor or law firm, and we do not replace legal advice. Large hospital systems with in-house IT departments and dedicated compliance teams usually need a different kind of partner. We are also not the right choice if you want a vendor to take over all compliance responsibility.
Healthcare IT services FAQ
Are you HIPAA certified?
There is no official government HIPAA certification for IT providers. We follow HIPAA-aware practices and work with your compliance lead, and your practice remains responsible for its compliance program.
Will you sign a business associate agreement?
When our work involves access to patient data, we discuss a business associate agreement during scoping, before work begins.
Do you support our EHR?
We support the devices, accounts and network around your EHR and coordinate with the EHR vendor, who supports the software itself.
Can you test our backups?
Yes. Restore tests are part of our backup and recovery work, so you know files and systems can actually come back.
Do you build patient websites too?
Yes. We build fast, mobile-friendly sites and keep forms limited to what is safe to collect online.
If your practice needs steadier IT or a security check, book a 15-minute fit call and we will tell you where to start.
