Testing & QA

Software Testing and QA Services

CasperB2B's software testing and QA services check web and mobile apps before your users do: manual and automated testing, regression, cross-browser and device checks, basic performance and security testing, written test plans and clear bug reports. It is for product teams and business owners who ship software and are tired of finding bugs in production.

What we test

Manual testing

Testers walk through real user flows, edge cases and error states the way a customer would.

Automated tests

Scripted checks for the flows that matter most, such as sign-up, login, checkout and key forms, run on every release.

Regression testing

Proof that a new change did not break something that already worked.

Mobile, web and cross-browser

Checks across common phones, screen sizes, operating systems and browsers.

Basic performance testing

Load and response checks on key pages and endpoints to find slow spots before traffic does.

Basic security testing

Checks for common issues such as weak access controls, exposed data and outdated components.

How it works

  1. Scope. We list the app's key flows, platforms, browsers and devices, and agree on what "done" means for a release.
  2. Test plan. You get a written plan: what we test, how, and in which order of risk.
  3. Test cases. We write step-by-step cases your team can read and reuse.
  4. Run and report. We test each build and log bugs with steps to reproduce, expected and actual results, device and browser, and screenshots or recordings.
  5. Automate. We automate the stable, high-value flows so regression runs fast on every release.
  6. Release check. Before each release you get a short summary: what passed, what failed and what is still open.

How it fits with your team

We work inside your existing tools, such as your issue tracker, code repository and chat. Developers get bug reports they can act on without a follow-up call. If you do not have developers, our application maintenance and support services can fix what we find.

Want a tester who works only on your product, every day? Hire a dedicated remote QA engineer through Casper VA. For new builds, testing is part of our mobile app development services and custom business app development. Deeper security work belongs with our cybersecurity services, and slow marketing sites with website speed optimization.

What we need from you

  • A test or staging environment, plus test accounts and data.
  • Any specs, user stories or a short walkthrough of how the app should work.
  • Access to your issue tracker, or agreement on where bugs go.
  • A contact who can answer "is this a bug or intended?"

When this is the wrong fit

Testing finds problems; it does not fix a product with no clear requirements. If nobody can say how a feature should work, start with a scope. A formal penetration test is also a different service than the basic security checks described here.

FAQ

Manual or automated testing: which do I need?

Most apps need both. Manual testing finds usability and edge-case problems, and automated tests re-check core flows quickly on every release.

Can you test an app someone else built?

Yes. We need a test environment, test accounts and a basic description of how the app should behave.

What does a bug report include?

Steps to reproduce, expected and actual results, device or browser, severity, and a screenshot or recording.

Do you test mobile apps on real devices?

Yes. We test on real phones and also use device tools to cover more screen sizes and OS versions.

Is this the same as a penetration test?

No. We run basic security checks as part of QA. A full penetration test is a separate, deeper engagement.
